Teeth whitening cost in Ottawa: your ideal shade unlimited sessions for one price

$300 to $1,200 is the teeth whitening price range Ottawa dental offices print for in-office whitening. Whitening priced once, with unlimited sessions to your ideal shade, ends the guessing. A full set of 20 veneers at an Ottawa clinic’s printed price runs $16,000 to $24,000.

You see your exact price at the free scan. The Complimentary Shade Consultation reads your starting shade on NanoChroma™, sets your target, and gives you one number for the whole Ideal Shade Package. Flexible payment plans are available.

What a yellower smile costs before you pay for whitening

  1. Money General looks research

5 to 10 percent less pay is what economists measured for workers rated plain-looking, with other factors held equal.[1]

  2. Respect Tooth colour research

Fifty adults rated the same faces on traits including success and intelligence: with yellower teeth the faces got the poorest ratings, and with whiter teeth the highest.[2]

  3. Hiding Tooth colour research

23 percent named yellow or stained teeth, the second most common reason adults gave for avoiding smiling in photos.[3]

None of that is fixed. Colour that came from coffee, tea and years can come back off, and the first step costs nothing.

UpWhiten is the only NanoChroma™ provider in Ottawa.

At UpWhiten, NanoChroma™ predicts your result before your first session, with 99.98% prediction accuracy.

On the NanoChroma™ scale, clients have reached up to 32.8 shades whiter.

Every session uses a special gel plus nano-hydroxyapatite, the same mineral your enamel is made of.

Internal research at UpWhiten counts under 6% temporary sensitivity.

1,000+ clients have whitened at the studio.

How we measure: every reading is taken in the studio on the NanoChroma™ scale, before your first session and again at the end.

Whitening lifts natural tooth colour only. A crown, a veneer or a bonded front keeps the colour it was made in.

How whitening runs at the studio: Phases 1 to 3

Unlimited whitening sessions until you reach your ideal shade or your genetic limit, at no extra cost. Whitening at the studio runs in three phases.

  1. Phase 1 · Fast whiteningUnlimited sessions until your readings plateau.
  2. Phase 2 · Break the plateauUnlimited spaced sessions to break the plateau.
  3. Phase 3 · Hold your shadeMaintenance, with the ForeverGlow membership.
The UpWhiten process, as the studio runs it. The blue tick marks the plateau Phase 2 is there to break. NanoChroma™ reads your shade before your first session and again at the end.

Your ideal shade is the target set against your first reading, with you in the chair: the whitest shade that still looks like your own teeth.

Your genetic limit is the shade your teeth cannot pass. In Phase 1, readings level off at a plateau before it, and Phase 2’s spaced sessions are there to break that plateau and keep you moving toward it.

What every session inside the package includes
  • A NanoChroma™ reading before your first session, and again at the end, so you see where you started and where you are
  • GumGuard, the gum barrier, placed for you
  • PolarGuard, the sensitivity protocol, before and after the gel
  • UltraWhite, a professional-strength gel, applied in timed rounds of about 20 minutes
  • As many sessions as your teeth need, at no extra cost, until your ideal shade or your genetic limit

  • Veneers, Ottawa: one clinic prints $800 to $1,200 a tooth.
  • Veneers, Beverly Hills: one cosmetic dentist prints US $4,500 to $6,500 a tooth.
  • Veneers need upkeep: in a ten-year study, 53% of single porcelain veneers needed no further work.[8]
  • Dentist whitening, Nepean: one office prints $450–$550, following the Ontario Dental Association fee guide.
How we count, and where the prices come from

You set the price and how often you buy. We multiply your price × purchases a year × the years from your age to 75. Veneers: your set price × the sets you buy to 75, a new set each time the life you pick ends.

Prices were read and saved on 28 October 2026 from these pages:

  • Well.ca: Crest 3D White Whitestrips Professional Effects, 20 count
  • The Downtown Dental Clinic and Inova Dental, Ottawa: whitening
  • Tartan Dental, Nepean: whitening
  • Bayshore Dental Centre (Ottawa), Transcend Specialized Dentistry (Vancouver), Kevin B. Sands DDS (Beverly Hills): veneers

Set totals are 20 × the printed price per tooth. Beverly Hills prices are in US dollars. Download every price, its source and the math (CSV).

What you pay for, route by route

The old way prices a treatment, a tray course or a box, and nobody predicts where your shade will land. Predictive Whitening™ reads your shade first, predicts the result, and prices the whole road once.

Professional in-office whitening can last: four and a half years after in-office bleaching, one trial still found clinically acceptable whitening.[9]

How to compare teeth whitening quotes in Ottawa

Compare an Ottawa price by what it covers, not by the number alone. Ask each office or studio four questions:

  1. Does the price cover one treatment, a set number of sessions, or a whole package?
  2. Are the exam, trays and gel included, or billed on top?
  3. What do more sessions or later touch-ups cost?
  4. Who reads your shade before and after, and with what?

Our teeth whitening cost guide explains what drives the price of each method. Before you count on a refund, read whether insurance covers teeth whitening.

Questions people ask before they pay

Is the shade consultation really free?

Yes. The one-minute Smile Assessment and the Complimentary Shade Consultation cost nothing, and you leave with your NanoChroma™ reading written down. The whitening is the paid part, and you hear its one price at the consultation, before anything is booked.

Can I pay for the Ideal Shade Package over time?

Yes. Flexible payment plans are available, and you can ask about the terms at the Complimentary Shade Consultation.

Does OHIP (the Ontario Health Insurance Plan) or dental insurance cover teeth whitening?

Plan as though it will not. Canada’s federal dental plan lists teeth whitening as cosmetic treatment that it never covers.[10] Ask your own insurer, and treat any refund as a bonus.

Why one price instead of a price per session?

Nobody knows on day one how many sessions your teeth will need. A per-session price hands that risk to you; one price for unlimited sessions until your ideal shade or your genetic limit keeps it with the studio.

Will I have to keep paying every year?

Coffee, tea and red wine reload colour, so holding your shade is its own choice. Phase 3 is maintenance, and the ForeverGlow membership is how clients hold their shade.

What does unlimited not cover?

Whitening works on natural tooth. A crown, a veneer or a bonded front keeps the colour it was made in, and more sessions will not change it.

How we made this page

Written by Wahid Baitul, co-owner of UpWhiten. It draws on the studio’s own process and facts, 8 prices read and saved from 7 dental, retail and veneer pages on 28 October 2026, a Government of Canada coverage rule, and 9 published papers.

UpWhiten is a cosmetic teeth-whitening studio. We are not a dental clinic and do not provide dental diagnosis or treatment. If anything in your mouth hurts or looks like a dental problem, see a dentist before you whiten.

Method, data and sources

Rival prices are quoted exactly as each page prints them, with the page and date in the price CSV; veneer set totals are our math, 20 × the printed price per tooth. Study numbers come from the abstracts of the papers listed. Studio facts (the three phases, NanoChroma™, sensitivity, client count) are UpWhiten’s own and never share a sentence with a study’s result. UpWhiten prints no price of its own: you hear it at the free scan.
